Whats new Oct, 2026

Recently, I have been dipping my toes into Java programming. It comes next in my course track,
but I like to get a headstart on new languages before starting a new class.
To practice ive been attempting to make my first mod for the game Minecraft. Minecraft is a game that was originally created with Java, and it has a sprawling community of modders that have been creating innovative additions for well over a decade I plan on creating a simple mod that adds a creature or 'entity' to the game, however I quickly learned that modding requires more skills than just coding. Creating this kind of mod requires creating original textures, 3d models, sound effects and so much more

Somewhere where I have been applying my knowledge of HTML and CSS is in a project with my brother. Recently we came across a website called 'RNGdle' whos namesake hails from the popular daily game 'Wordle' from The New York Times. There has been a trend of new websites that keep you coming back every day for some regenerating game mechanic. For Wordle, there is a new word every day that everyone tries to guess in six tries, in RNGdle you get one chance every day to generate a random number between 1 and six digits, with lower digits being rare as well as rare combinations of numbers being worth more points, for example the number '777' or '123321'. We thought it would be fun to make something along these lines for a website taking much inspiration from RNGdle. Our idea is that every day you have one chance to roll a random color from a set list of normal colors and a select few special ultra-rare options. Then we had ideas on how you can use the colors you can collect ranging anywhere from combining hues to synthesize new colors, customizing your profile with them, painting with them, and other tried and true collector-game mechanics. We gave it the temporary name 'Colordle' and with such a simple idea, we have already been able to expand it into a pretty fun and slightly addicting game loop.

List of project ideas I would like to start in the future:

  • Simple game scripted with Roblox LUA
  • Personal calendar, to-do / task list
  • An AI bot that can play chess
  • 2D graphing calculator made with a graphics library such as SFML
  • Point-and-click adventure horror game made with digital photos
  • Simple rogue-like game made with wasd and arrow key controls
